Invert Selected Checkboxes
A Keeper is a track (or tracks) among those in its Dupe Group that you wish to preserve or otherwise segregate from the others. Keeper tracks and non-Keeper tracks are designated one way or the other by toggling a track's checkbox. Many of Dupin's tools and commands require that tracks within a Dupe Group be designated as Keepers and non-Keepers.
You may find it necessary to invert the Keeper status of one or more tracks in Dupin.
Note: By default Keepers are designated by being checkmarked. However, if you prefer the opposite configuration whereby a Keeper is designated by being un-checkmarked, you can toggle this behavior in Preferences. In any case, the text color of non-Keepers is always lighter than the text color of the Keepers. Throughout this help book, tracks will be referred to as Keepers and non-Keepers as often as possible to avoid any confusion with what is "checked" or "un-checked".
To Invert the Keeper status of the selected tracks
- Select tracks in the main Dupin window or the Selection Window.
- Chose "Invert Selected Checkboxes" in the "Select" menu.
You can refresh the Keeper status of all tracks in the current Dupin window by clicking on "Checkmark All/Clear Checkmarks" (one or the other option will be displayed depending on how you designate Keepers in Preferences) in the View menu or by pressing Shift-Command-X.
When you checkmark or uncheckmark tracks in the Selection Window the corresponding tracks in Dupin's main window will be updated when the Selection Window is closed.
When you use the Purge function only the non-Keeper tracks will be deleted from Music.
