How does it works ?

iChatState works with variables. First, you need to create these variables, with the button.
You need to specify the name of this variable. iChatState will replace the name of the variable by what you specify. In the example above, the string "%@" is replaced by the name of the artist of the current track in iTunes.
Then you need to specify what kind of information you want for this variable, like the name of the current track, a countdown or a stopwatch for a specified date, an appleScript returning a value...

When all your variables are ready, you can type the status message you want, on the first field : In this example, the variable is called "%q", and will be replaced by a countdown for the specified date.
